The use of ceramic molds and the structural characteristics of shaped ceramic molds

In addition to ceramics, ceramic molds can also be used as economical molds for the original aluminum molds in metallurgical casting, furnace forming, and architectural decoration. After testing, its surface hardness, water absorption and other performances are quite good.

ceramic molds have the characteristics of accurate size, good strength, no aging and no deformation, strong plasticity, good chemical stability, small expansion ratio, surface light and durability. It can also be preserved for a long time to meet the production needs of different industries in various fields.

There is also a special-shaped ceramic mold, which is also one of the tools for forming ceramic products. It is called a special-shaped ceramic mold because it is mainly composed of a one-piece cylindrical  plaster mold and a bottom of the plaster mold

When designing, the diameter of the upper opening of the inner wall of the ceramic mold cylinder is required to be smaller than the diameter of the lower opening, and the diameter of the bottom of the plaster mold is greater than or equal to the diameter of the lower opening of the inner wall of the product forming mold cylinder, and the inner wall of the ceramic mold cylinder is required to be the shape of the molded product is matched so that a product with a specific shape can be produced.

Because the special-shaped ceramic mold adopts the medium-free gypsum cylinder mold and the upper and lower split mold structure, the produced special-shaped ceramic products have no vertical mold stitching and high regularity, which not only improves the production efficiency, the mold utilization rate and the turnover rate. It also extends the life of the mold.
