Three commonly used precision zirconia ceramic mold forming methods

Mar 29, 2019

Precision zirconia ceramic mold are widely used in the fields of electronics, machinery, chemicals, metallurgy and aerospace for their excellent performance. They can be mainly divided into three types of molding methods, because the molding methods are different, then the oxidation is obtained. The performance of the precision zirconia ceramic mold is also different in structure. The three common molding methods include tape casting, grouting and hot press forming.

The casting method of precision zirconia ceramic mold is to mix the powder of precision zirconia ceramic mold  a large amount of organic plasticizer, dispersant and binder, and obtain a slurry with higher fluidity and higher viscosity. The slurry is directly added to the hopper of the casting machine, and the entire thickness is controlled by a doctor blade, and then the conveyor belt is output through the nozzle, and after drying, the precision zirconia ceramic mold can be obtained.

The whole process of grouting of precision zirconia ceramic mold will contain physical dehydration and chemical agglomeration. The physical dehydration mainly uses porous gypsum mold to remove excess water contained in the slurry. Relatively speaking, it is relatively simple and convenient, so the precision zirconia ceramic mold produced is also relatively durable.

The hot-die casting method of precision zirconia ceramic mold is to promote the effective mixing between the powder and the binder of the ceramic at a very high temperature, and obtain the desired hot-casting slurry to carry the slurry into the air. After the compression, it is directly injected into a metal mold, and is subjected to pressure-holding cooling, and after being demolded, a wax blank can be obtained.
