Treatment of Tungsten Carbide Die Mould

May 12, 2018

To solve the problem of tensile damage in the tungsten carbide mold and workpiece forming process, the basic principle of reducing the adhesive wear should be based on changing the nature of the contact pair as a starting point. In the following, three aspects of the pair of contact pairs, that is, the raw material of the workpiece to be formed, the workpiece and the tungsten carbide die, and the tungsten carbide die, are respectively analyzed in the following manner.

The raw material of the formed workpiece:

Through the surface treatment of raw materials, such as phosphating, spraying or other surface treatment of raw materials, a non-metal mold layer is formed on the surface of the formed material, which can greatly reduce or eliminate the strain of the tungsten carbide mold. This method is often used. The cost is high, and additional production equipment and production processes need to be added, although this method is sometimes effective and has few applications in actual production.

Between the workpiece and the Tungsten Carbide Die Mould:

Adding a layer of film such as PVC between the tungsten carbide mold and the forming material can sometimes solve the problem of workpiece strain. For the production line through the organization can achieve continuous supply of film, and for the periodic production of stamping equipment, each production of a piece of work requires a film, affecting the production efficiency, this method is generally high cost, but also produces a lot of waste, for small quantities The production of large workpieces using this method is desirable.

In some occasions where the forming load is very small, the problem of the pulling of the tungsten carbide die can sometimes be solved by adding lubricating oil or lubricating oil with an EP additive.

Tungsten carbide molds:

By changing the Tungsten Carbide Die Mould convex, concave ink material or for the mold convex, concave mold surface treatment, so that the material and the convex, concave mold contact nature changes. Practice has proved that this is an economical and effective method to solve the problem of strain. It is also a widely used method.

Tungsten carbide mold material selection:

From the tungsten carbide mold convex, concave mold material to solve the problem of the workpiece appears to pull, we can actually use carbide.
